The Innovation Voucher is a fully funded government grant worth up to €10,000 (or €20,000 co-funded) for Irish SMEs to collaborate with a registered Irish university or research body. The funding pays for the knowledge provider's time and expertise helping your company develop new products, solve technical challenges, or explore innovation opportunities. You don't need to be an existing Enterprise Ireland client to apply.

Your company can access a maximum of four Innovation Vouchers in total, three standard €10,000 vouchers and one co-funded voucher (up to €20,000). Only one voucher can be active at a time. After a five-year period, your company becomes eligible to reapply for additional vouchers. Articulate Digital Business can manage multiple applications for your company over time.

Our fee is a fixed €1,000 per Innovation Voucher application. This covers your full eligibility assessment, challenge definition, knowledge provider identification, application drafting, and submission management. Given the standard voucher is worth €10,000, our fee represents a 10:1 return on your investment, before your actual innovation project even begins.

Applications are submitted through the Enterprise Ireland Online System year round. Enterprise Ireland typically provides a decision within four weeks of submission. We'll begin the process promptly after you engage us, and we'll keep you updated at every stage.

By default, all intellectual property developed during your Innovation Voucher project belongs to your company. The only exception is if you and your knowledge provider have mutually agreed on a different arrangement in advance which we would always advise you on before signing anything.

Yes. Innovation Vouchers are exclusive of VAT. Your chosen knowledge provider will invoice you separately for the VAT portion, which your company must settle directly. This is a standard requirement of the programme and applies to all participants.
